Everyone--both members and guests--are INVITED to be part of our Bible study experience here at Concordia. Bible studies provide an enrivonment where you can CONNECT with other Christians, share life experiences, pray for each other, and build each other up in the love we share through Christ Jesus. Through Bible study you can explore and DISCOVER what truths the Bible has for your everyday life and experience vital spritual growth.
"Proverbs: God’s Gift of Wisdom"
The wisdom of the Lord underlies and supports the universe. Wisdom is more precious than any worldly wealth--and God wants to give it to all! Join us for this journey through Proverbs where we’ll learn to live wisely; recognize the value of instruction, rebuke, advice, and discipline; and listen to what God has to say about family life, our speech, relationships, money matters, and many other aspects of our daily lives. This class meets at 10:00 am in the School Conference Room.
"Serving Like Christ"
Jesus said He "did not come to be served, but to serve". And He calls us--as His followers--to the same lifestyle and attitude of service. But how do we do that? In a world that values power and ease, we need some help in reorienting our hearts as well as our shcedules. This class meets at 9:30 am in the Emmaus Room.
"The Poetical Books"
This look at the Old Testament books of Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon reveal the heart of the nation of Israel and are considered some of the finest literature ever written. As you study these books, you will be amazed at their beauty, clarity and passion. As they reveal their hearts, we find them much like our own. This class meets at 9:30 am in Room 19.
"Making Children Mind Without Losing Yours"
Learn how to raise obedient children--without raising your blood pressure! You will be guided in bringing out the best in your kids, understanding their actions, maintaining authority, gaining your teenagers' respect, encouraging self-esteem, and turning hassles into successes. This class meets at 9:30 am in Room 17.
"Nurture"
In the dictionary "nurture" is defined as: 1) To give tender care and protection; 2) To encourage to grow, develop, thrive, and be successful. This beautifully describes what God's daughters so desperately need. This study explains how women of all ages must awaken and restore their capacity to give and receive nurture. This class meets at 9:30 am in Room 16.
