The big picture Picture this: a place where people rejoice in life and live under the gracious goodness of our loving God. A place where children are touched in ways that last forever. Lutheran SchoolsLutheran Schools make up the largest Protestant school system in the United States and are in every state with several hundred in other countries. Although our church's founders were German immigrants to the United States, all races, religions, ages and economic situations are warmly welcomed into our schools. We are eager to enroll and serve all communities and families, not just Lutherans. Approximately 50 percent of all students in Lutheran schools are not Lutheran. Lutheran schools are agencies of their operating congregations, so each school varies considerably. But you always find that our schools are lively places. You will find many smiling faces, a great deal of laughter, and serious work. Most importantly, the unconditional love of Jesus for all people is shared.
